So I broke down and ordered DSL for the coffeehouse. One thing I hate…I have to stand at my POS terminal, since I don’t have a wifi router. So…maybe I need to break down again and buy a router. Hmmm….
As promised in an earlier post, I have a new ham for the sandwiches — it’s a thinly-sliced Black Forest ham. Gorgeous meat…perfect for a panino. And I think it has a nicer flavor than the Virginia ham. I’ve also switched the turkey and beef to the absolute best-quality I could find. The beef is divine — I think it’s darn close to prime rib. It’s juicy and tender, and it doesn’t dry out in the panini press. The turkey stays moist, and it’s super-tender.
I’m also working on a jerk chicken sandwich…stay tuned. (Let’s just say that it helps to have a Jamaican in the house…)
