Specials Overload Part Deux

Specials, starting Friday March 30.
As promised, I’m bringing salads back…since it’s spring.  I have the following for your perusal:

Spring Mix Wrap:  Salad to go! Tender baby greens tossed in a heart-healthy balsamic/olive oil vinaigrette, wrapped in a tortilla.  4.95
Power Salad:  Baby greens with chickpeas, red bell pepper, broccoli, and celery.  Tossed with a bright Meyer lemon/olive oil vinaigrette.  [...]

Celebrate Spring With….Salad!

This week’s special salad — spring mix with shaved pecorino cheese and an olive oil vinaigrette…OR…a jicima and Granny Smith apple slaw with a lime dressing.  Add either as a side to your sandwich for just $1.99 each.

Weekend Salad Special And Neighborhood Cleanup

I had an abundance of veggies I had to roast this weekend, so I’ll have a special salad — Caribbean Curried Couscous. Roasted veggies, raisins, tri-color couscous, and a curry vinaigrette.  Served over a bed of tender Boston lettuce.  Available until it runs out!  5.95.
Don’t forget the neighborhood cleanup Saturday — meet at the Village [...]

Could It Be? Is It Really Spring?

I’m going to try to do something wonderful with lemongrass and mint. I’ll let you know what I come up with.

Specials Overload

I went a bit mad with the specials this week…I also ordered some new cookies, which I won’t order again - they tasted vaguely of fish.  I’m sure somewhere in the world, a somewhat fishy-tasting lemon shortbread is considered a good thing, but I don’t see any of you going for it.  So…thankfully I only [...]

Menu Schmenu, Part Deux

The revised menu is now available online.  It’s a PDF file, and able to be printed if you want a paper copy.  Enjoy!

Coffee Kids

If you’re looking for a worthwhile charity for your 2007 giving…one I wholeheartedly support is Coffee Kids. They’re doing some amazing work in the countries where coffee is grown — specifically with families and children. According to their financials, 82% of their money is spent on programs and only 8% was spent on administration (FY [...]

Neighborhood Cleanups Every Saturday

I meant to post this last week and completely forgot.  My apologies!
Every Saturday, neighbors meet at the Village Center (904 Washington Boulevard) at 8:45 AM and clean up the neighborhood. It’s a great way to make the neighborhood look great, and you might get a chance to hang out with your neighbors.  And take it [...]

City Paper Ad and The Examiner

Evelyn’s has an ad in the current “Eat” insert in this week’s City Paper.  Unfortunately they made an error in the ad — “Vegetarian Dishes” was supposed to read as “Vegetarian Options”.  I don’t want to disappoint anyone who might be looking for stir-fried tofu…sorry for the confusion.
The Examiner had a really nice article on [...]

Mainstreets Fundraiser + Granola Special

Don’t forget — the fundraiser was moved to the 11th…that’s this Sunday.  Hope to see you at Housewerks, Baltimore’s premier source for architectural artifacts and other interesting stuff.  No, I didn’t get paid to say that — it’s true.
This weekend’s breakfast special will be….homemade cranberry crunch granola.  Served plain, with milk (yes, including soy), or [...]
