So I ordered a test loaf of Stone Mill’s sundried tomato bread, and I have to say — it’s mighty good. I’m coming up with a couple of new sandwiches that use this bread…so look for them later this week on the specials board…which I haven’t updated in a while — sorry for that.
The Boylan’s soda is a definite success — it’s been well-received, and I’ll keep it on the menu. Hopefully I can talk the distributor into carrying the other flavors — right now the selection is limited. For now, root beer, cola, orange cream, and ginger ale will have to do. If you haven’t tried the cola, please do try it soon. It doesn’t taste anything like Coke or Pepsi…it has a slightly herbal taste, and it’s very good. Definitely not what you’d expect from a cola. It took some getting used to, but now I’m a convert. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t care for soda!
Please feel free to avail yourselves of the outdoor table and chairs — we will be opening the back courtyard soon (as soon as the fence is built) so there will be additional seating back there, along with planter boxes…and when Myles is around, sidewalk chalk…if you’re into sidewalk chalk.
Also — don’t forget, any of our teas can be made into iced tea — try the organic ginger and lemongrass tea. It’s really refreshing…as is the Mint Verbena.
Happy Spring!
