Many of you have seemed surprised when I say there is no minimum fee for credit card transactions. This is a rule imposed by MasterCard and Visa, and my merchant account company (the company that processes my credit card transactions).

You may have noticed that we were not open yesterday — I have made the Grand Executive Decision to remain closed on Mondays. It was a difficult decision, but the plain truth is that I need a day off and it had to be a weekday, and Mondays just work for that.
